Stacy Gildea, M.A., CCC-SLP is a Certified Speech-Language Pathologist and member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She received a Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2004 from Western Michigan University. She has more than 15 years of clinical experience treating both Pediatric and Adult populations in critical and acute care, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation and school settings.  Stacy specializes in neurogenic speech, language, and swallowing disorders, cognitive-communication disorders, voice disorders and stuttering.

 

Stacy is proud mother to 3 boys. In 2011, Stacy's youngest son was born with Hydrocephalus caused by a stroke.  "Being told that my son would be severely physically and cognitively impaired with speech and language impairments was life changing and terrifying, but it has helped me grow as a clinician.  I have learned all of the complex variables involved in diagnosis, treatment and, now, caring for a child with special needs.  And most importantly, he has taught me to see beauty, joy and hope in every single thing he accomplishes."
